Killing the game with her unique sense of style and signature skyscraper heels, she is Jenilee. A multi-faceted artist giving new meaning to “multi-threat”, she does it all. Packing a soulful voice, infectious melodies and stand out top lines, her compelling stage and on camera presence are an added bonus to her exotic look. While she is able to perform and write any genre, her own music is a fusion of Pop-Urban-Rock.
Jenilee, born in the Philippines, started in music at a very young age. Upon moving to the states, she has shared the stage with Stevie Wonder, Brian Mcknight and Raphael Saadiq and has opened up for Snoop Dogg and Jordan Knight of NKOTB. She has had record deals with Golden City/Bad Boy Records, Streamline/Interscope Records and Maxi Media/Universal Records. These labels led her work with hit makers including Mario Winans, Harvey Mason Jr, Rob Knox, James Fauntleroy, Space Cowboy, Dre & Vidal, Tim & Bob, The Smeezingtons and The Stereotypes to name a few. An accomplished writer she continues to write music for various artists as well as for film and television. In 2010, she was featured on a tour in Micronesia and also a USO Tour around Eastern Europe.
Jenilee studied at The Gloria Gifford Conservatory of Performing Arts and Actors circle theater under famed acting coach, Arthur Mendoza. You can see her on commercials (Target, KIA Motor sports), print ads (Def Jam Rapstar, Bio Silk), online ads (Fred Segal, Ed Hardy), and was a Deal or No Deal model on NBC for its first season. She has starred in a few acclaimed indie films (Carts and Brown Soup thing) and has had guest roles and featured on several television programs (OC, Entourage, Coupling).
Recently, she put together an A CAPELLA group called Kinfolk 9 that will be featured on the third season of "THE SING OFF" and will be back on NBC this fall, premiering Sept. 19th at 8pm. The summer release of her mixtape, “Sex, Love, Lock and Load” preceded with a video for "Assassin" has already gotten rave reviews on RefinedHype.com and Mixtapedownload.com. Armed with talent and charisma, you can expect to see a lot of more of Jenilee. While she has accomplished a lot in her short career, this killer has just barely scratched the surface.
